DynamicDelay is free, with no ads and no account. Your stream keys never leave your PC, except to go to the platforms you chose. This page lists everything the app and this website send, why, how long it is kept, and how to turn it off.

Who is responsible

DynamicDelay is published by an independent developer. For any question or request about your data: contact@kbouu.com.

Data is stored on a server operated by KBOUU. It is not sold, rented, used for advertising or passed on to any third party.

What stays on your PC

Your settings, your stream keys and, if you link TikTok, your Streamlabs login token are saved in your Windows folder (%APPDATA%\DynamicDelay). Keys and the token are encrypted there with Windows protection (DPAPI): only your Windows account can read them back.

Your stream goes through your PC and straight to the platforms you configured (Twitch, YouTube, Kick, TikTok…). It never passes through our servers. What those platforms do with your stream is covered by their own policies. For TikTok, the app uses the Streamlabs API to open and close the live: you sign in in your browser, on their website.

Update checks

At launch and then every 6 hours, the app downloads a small file stating the latest available version. As with any web page, the server records the IP address and date of the request in its technical log, deleted after 14 days. Nothing else is sent.

Legal basis: legitimate interest (offering you fixes, security fixes in particular).

Diagnostic reports

When a problem occurs (a warning in the app's log), DynamicDelay sends its log so the problem can be understood without you having to describe it. The "Send logs" button sends the same report on demand.

A report contains:

  • the app's technical messages (connections, bitrates, errors, current settings);
  • a randomly drawn installation ID, to group reports from the same PC;
  • file paths from your PC, which often contain your Windows user name;
  • a fingerprint of your IP address (not the address itself).

As for updates, the server's technical log keeps the sender's IP address for 14 days.

It never contains your stream keys or your passwords: they are masked before the log is written (only the last 4 characters appear).

Kept for 6 months. Legal basis: legitimate interest (fixing software failures). You can turn automatic sending off at any time in Settings › Privacy › Diagnostic reports. This switch only covers reports: the statistics below have their own.

Usage statistics

While the anonymous count is on (Settings › Privacy › Anonymous count), the app sends a usage signal, with two levels of detail to choose from:

  • Anonymous (default). Once a day, the app sends: a randomly drawn ID, used only for statistics and unrelated to anything else; the app version; its language; whether a stream was started that day. For each stream, it also sends the time it started (rounded to 10 minutes) and then its duration, with the same ID. This tells how many people use DynamicDelay, which versions are still running and when the app is used. The ID is renewed every 13 months. The IP address is neither stored nor logged. Legal basis: legitimate interest (anonymous audience measurement).
  • Full (only if you agree). In addition: the installation ID of your diagnostic reports, your Windows session name, and your configuration (streaming software, broadcast mode, platforms used, enabled options). This links your statistics to your reports to solve your problems faster. Never your keys, your server addresses or your channel. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by switching back to "Anonymous".

Turning the anonymous count off stops all statistics: nothing more is sent, after a last message asking the server to erase everything it knows about your installation, stream sessions included.

Kept for 13 months after the last signal received, then deleted automatically. Withdrawing your consent immediately erases the link to your session name and your reports.

!delay chat command

Off by default. If you turn it on, the app publishes your current delay at an address your chat bot (Nightbot, StreamElements…) can read. Only a randomly drawn ID, a secret and the delay value are sent: nothing that describes you. The delay stops being served 3 minutes after the last update; the address is forgotten after 180 days without use. Reads of that address are not logged.

This website

dynamicdelay.com measures its traffic with Umami, a self-hosted tool, without cookies and without keeping IP addresses: we know how many visits a page gets, not who makes them. Like any server, the web server keeps a technical log (IP address, page requested, browser) deleted after 14 days. A single functional cookie remembers the language you pick with the button in the header. No advertising or tracking cookie is set.

Your rights

You can ask to access your data, have it corrected or erased, object to its processing or restrict it, by writing to contact@kbouu.com. Since we don't know you by name, give your Windows session name and, if possible, the date of a report you sent: that is what makes it possible to find what concerns you. Answer within one month.

If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr/en/complaints), or with the authority of your country.

Changes

If a version of DynamicDelay sends something new, this page will be updated before its release, and the date at the top will change.
