Delay your stream, without ever ending it.
DynamicDelay sits between OBS and Twitch. Add 30 seconds for a ranked game against stream snipers, remove them to chat with your viewers: the stream keeps going, nobody sees a cut.

Quick demo

The real app interface, on a simulated stream: click around, change the delay, browse the pages.
What OBS's delay can't do
OBS's built-in delay is set before going live and then it's locked. Here, everything changes mid-stream.
Instant delay
Turn on preloading: the app keeps the last seconds of your stream in memory. Going from 0 to 30 s becomes instant, instead of waiting 30 s for the delay to build up.
Clean return to live
One click to get back to 0 s. The app cuts on a keyframe: no broken picture for your viewers, and no latency piling up after each return.
Multistream, TikTok included
Twitch, YouTube, Kick, Restream and TikTok at the same time, without re-encoding. For TikTok, link your account once: each stream's key is generated for you.
Overlay and !delay command
A badge in OBS shows the current delay, and a chat command (Nightbot, StreamElements, Fossabot…) answers for you when viewers ask how much delay you have.
They stream with DynamicDelay

FAQ
How do I add a delay in OBS without ending the stream?+
OBS sends its stream to DynamicDelay, on your PC, instead of sending it straight to your platform. The app applies the delay, then forwards the stream to Twitch, YouTube or the others. Since the app holds the broadcast, you can change the delay mid-stream: your stream never stops.
How is it different from the stream delay built into OBS?+
OBS's stream delay can only be changed while offline: going from 0 to 30 seconds means ending the stream and starting it again. With DynamicDelay, you add, change or remove it while live.
Does a delay protect against stream sniping?+
Yes, that's what it's for. An opponent watching your stream sees your position late, so the information is useless to them. Add the delay for a ranked game and remove it right after, without ending the stream.
How many seconds can the stream be delayed?+
From 0 to 180 seconds. Quick buttons cover 20, 25 and 30 seconds, and a slider lets you pick any other value.
Does DynamicDelay work with Twitch, YouTube, Kick and TikTok?+
Yes, and with Restream.io too, all at once and without re-encoding. The app supports Twitch Enhanced Broadcasting (landscape and portrait in a single stream) and a vertical 9:16 output for TikTok. The delay applies to every output.
Is DynamicDelay free?+
Yes, for life, updates included. The app runs entirely on your PC: there's no server for me to pay for, so nothing will ever force me to charge for it. It runs on Windows 10 and 11.
Do I need an activation key or an account?+
No. Download it, run it, that's it: no key to request, no account to create.

Ready for your next ranked game?
Free, no account, no activation key. Updates are free and happen right from the app.
